Amenities & Comfort
A fascinating history
‘La Douane’ lives up to its name. This unique building was once an authentic customs office, strategically located on the border between Belgium and France. In the rural village of Louette-Saint-Pierre, high in the province of Namur, it used to monitor cross-border traffic between the two countries.

The cottage is over 100 years old and still exudes the atmosphere of the past. The typical Ardennes facade and the charming exterior have been preserved, allowing the original character of the building to shine. Inside, that same atmosphere remains: the interior has been carefully renovated to create a warm and comfortable holiday home—without losing the soul of the old customs house.
You'll find modern comfort in a stylish setting that radiates peace and coziness. No sleek, modern design, but a place full of character where you instantly feel at home.
Spending your holidays on the border between Belgium and France, in a house full of history: that’s what makes La Douane Holiday Home so unique.
